trak is built by one person, and this page tells the truth about where it stands: what already works, what does not yet work, and how each of those was tested.

Why say what doesn't work. A list of wins alone is useless to anyone who depends on accessibility to use the app. If you open trak expecting something this page promises and it isn't there, the problem is mine — and I want to know.

What works today

VoiceOver

trak's screens can be navigated with VoiceOver, and since version 1.1.0 (September 6, 2026) the wallpaper — which is the product itself, and a data visualization — has a structured description too. The preview announces itself as “trak wallpaper. Month by month, Ember palette.”, followed by “Habits completed today, 2 of 8”, and the rotor offers “What the image shows” with the description of the style. On the customization screen, the style carousel is an adjustable element: swipe up or down to change the style and double-tap to choose it.

That is why trak began declaring VoiceOver support on the App Store in September 2026 — only after the version with that change was published.

Voice Control

Every tappable element in the app responds to the “Show names” and “Show numbers” commands. Verified on device, screen by screen.

Dark Interface

The app has a light and a dark theme, and both were checked on device. So was the wallpaper: the palettes exist in both versions.

Differentiate Without Color

No information in trak is conveyed by color alone. In the wallpapers, a completed day is told apart from an open day by the size of the dot, not by its color; in the Spiral style, each habit occupies a different radius, with an optional legend naming the rings in the same order. Tested with the iOS Grayscale color filter turned on, which is the test Apple defines as definitive.

Sufficient Contrast

All text in the app has a minimum contrast of 4.5:1 against its background. That isn't a promise of effort: it's an automated test that breaks the build if any color token falls below it.

Reduce Motion

The app respects the system's reduce motion preference.

What doesn't work yet

Larger Text

The app doesn't yet guarantee that every layout behaves well at the iOS Larger Text sizes. The main screens were adjusted, but not the whole app — so we don't declare support.

A known limitation

In the Spiral style, the orbit rings — the circular lines the dots of each habit run along — have very low contrast against the background. The dots are visible; the lines, barely. They're decoration, not data: no information is lost if you can't see the rings. Even so, it's here because it was measured and it's true.

How this was tested

Not by reading code: on device, with the features turned on.

Grayscale — the whole app walked through with the color filter active.
Voice Control — “Show names” and “Show numbers” on every screen.
VoiceOver — real navigation, including the wallpaper's content rotor.
Light and dark themes — walked through separately.
Contrast — measured, not estimated, with an automated check on every build.
